I’m so excited that you’ve chosen to do a project on me! That’s so fun! But here’s the thing…the most important part of a research project or a book report is *your* work. So, it wouldn’t be fair if I helped you actually do the work. After all–if someone else chose to write about Shakespeare or Austen, they couldn’t just email them, could they?
So…in the interest of fairness…I’m just going to point you in the right direction to do your research. Everything you need is at your fingertips–since you clearly have an internet connection!
Start with my bio, then check out the YA section of the site. Once you’ve done that, try the hot off the press, the writer’s life and ask the author pages. If you’re writing about The Season specifically, try looking at posts tagged The Season and the Regency. Finally, there are lots of little nuggets of information buried in the blog–and you should be able to find everything you need to know.
Good luck!

Sarah MacLean. I don’t even know where to start. I’ve been searching for your address for awhile because I wanted desperately to write you a letter. Well, at least I found this even though I like handwritten letters more. I know you must receive an abundance of replies and fan letters, but I just thought if I were an author, I’d like to hear from every single person I have inspired. And you have deeply inspired me. I could tell you how much I enjoyed your book and how I couldn’t put it down. It ended up consuming a whole day and I was sad when it ended. I found that after I read your book, my mind was full of proper dialog and the rest of the day I spoke in that manner. No book has ever done that to me. I read your About the Author and after the first sentence, I was shocked. My mom always told me that I continually wished to live during the time of balls and dresses and courtship. Now, at fifteen, I still wish more than ever. Pride and Prejudice is my favorite book and movie and there aren’t many others I know who would say the same. I’ve dreamed of being an author, but I doubt myself a lot. Everything you’ve done so far in life is exactly how I wish my life to be. I’m in love with historical fiction and Europe. Right now I am working on a story that is nearing 300 pages with the hope to someday publish it. You truly are an inspiration to me.
