Four Scandals, whispered about in ballrooms across Britain.
**
Four aristocrats, exiled from society, now royalty in the London underworld.
**
Four loves, powerful enough to tame the darkness and return these fallen angels to the light.
The Rules of Scoundrels:
a new quartet from Sarah MacLean
***
What a scoundrel wants, a scoundrel gets . . .
A decade ago, the Marquess of Bourne was cast from society with nothing but his title. Now a partner in London’s most exclusive gaming hell, the cold, ruthless Bourne will do whatever it takes to regain his inheritance—including marrying perfect, proper Lady Penelope Marbury.
A broken engagement and years of disappointing courtships have left Penelope with little interest in a quiet, comfortable marriage, and a longing for something more. How lucky that her new husband has access to such unexplored pleasures.
Bourne may be a prince of London’s underworld, but he vows to keep Penelope untouched by its wickedness—a challenge indeed as the lady discovers her own desires, and her willingness to wager anything for them . . . even her heart.

PRAISE FOR A ROGUE BY ANY OTHER NAME
“MacLean gets better with each new book and this first in her Rules of Scoundrels series is no exception. She’s never afraid to try something different; this time she incorporates letters into her romantic story. It’s another unforgettable love story with passion and power — power that will shake you to the core.” – Romantic Times, TOP PICK
***
“MacLean starts a new pre-Victorian series with enjoyable romps, witty banter, and electric sexual tension.” — Publishers Weekly
***
“Romantic magic that will dazzle readers and compel them to ignore hungry children, laundry, homework and sleep.” –Lezlie Patterson, McClatchy-Tribune News
***
“A Rogue by Any Other Name is a nearly perfect read. MacLean’s bad-boy hero will entice readers, but the love story will keep them riveted. It is deliciously naughty, emotionally fulfilling and extremely entertaining. A Rogue by Any Other Name is destined to become one of the best historical romances of all time.” – Romance Novel News
***
“I simply cannot say enough about Sarah MacLean. Her writing has grown, her characters have come to life off the pages, and she just keeps getting better and better.” – Heather Lobdell, Fresh Fiction

Can’t wait to read the Grape’s story!! Februrary is too far away….
After reading the number books again I had a quick question though…What about the last Hartwell sibling, Earl of Allendale, Bennedict? I really wanted to read his story. Especially after he was so sweet to Julianna…

I just finished my all-in-one-day consumption of “A Rogue By Any Other Name,” and thoroughly adored it! I love this book for itself, but am also excited for the series it’s launching. Thank you so much for your witty and wonderful work. Can’t wait for more!

I had gotten my greedy little hands on a copy of ‘A Rouge by Any Other Name’ just as soon as it hit the shelves at my local bookstore. Needless to say I devoured it in one night. You just get better and better with each book and I’m impatiently waiting for the next in the series! Congrats for yet another beautifully crafted tale!

I have just finished A Rogue by Any Other Name and I have to say how much I loooooved this book. I love a tortured hero and one who has vowed revenge is even better! Can’t wait for the next book, if there’s one thing I love more than a vengeful hero it’s a bookish heroine :)

I have now read the complete romance series and I am holding out hope that Chase from the Rogue series is Georgiana’s long lost love. They can reconnect both older and wiser. I love her so.
Or we can go with my imagination and the may December romance developing between her and an adult Jimmy. One of my fave novella’s is by Jude Deveraux and is along the same premise the little boy grows up and eventually gets his older woman crush.

Omg I’m a big love story reader and this was one of the best books I’ve read in years. Thank you so very much.

I just finished A rogue by any other name and it was as beautiful as I expected. I loved it really much! The only problem is that with only two pages and a half of the Epilogue I’m already dying for Cross and Philippa and I don’t even see a date in this blog to wait for… It will be long indeed… :(
Ah well, I’ll be waiting. ;)
June 9th, 2012 at 4:50 pm
Ah, I found it: it’s late 2012.
But it’s Cross and Philippa story? So Cross is an earl?
I didn’t understand that but maybe… I wish I would already have the book!
