Fun facts about me:
I have wanted to be a romance novelist for as long as I can remember.
The first words I can remember writing in cursive are "I love you."
I tried to write a contemporary romance when I was in the 6th grade. The heroine was named Chantel. There was a gorgeous hero and a snaky villain and a lot of smooching. The "novel" was 8 pages long. It was published on the bulletin board outside of my classroom . . . by my teacher who was, I'm certain, quite disturbed by me.
I like to think I'm better at naming my heroines these days.
I am currently at work on a series of Regency-set historical romances, due out in 2010 from Avon. The first, Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (April), tells the story of a 27-year-old spinster who makes a scandalous list of the nine things that she would do if she did not have to face society...or the consequences. A harmless piece of paper...until the first item on the list lands her on the doorstep and in the arms of Gabriel St. John, the Marquess of Ralston.
