So, it’s official! I’ve finished the revisions on the second book in the Rules of Scoundrel’s series–One Good Earl Deserves A Lover, Cross’s book, and there’s an official release date — January 29, 2013. I’m so SO excited about this book — I knew when I met Cross and Pippa in A Rogue By Any Other Name that they were going to be an incredibly fun couple to write, but I had no idea how much I would end up loving them both…together and separately. Cross is a beautifully tortured hero, possibly the Scoundrel with the most emotionally devastating past. And Pippa…well she’s the only woman I could really imagine being able to save him and his brilliant mind.
I also can’t help but tell you that the cover for the book I am affectionately calling Earl is the most beautiful romance cover I’ve ever seen, and I cannot wait to reveal it to you, along with the first line of the book, when I get permission from my publisher! For now, I thought I’d give you some pictures of my real-life inspiration for Cross–ginger-haired model, Johnny Harrington (even though Cross doesn’t have a beard).
Now, of course, I’m on to Temple’s story — Temple who is the opposite of quiet, perfect, cerebral Cross. Temple is all physical–massive, brutally intense and wickedly sexual. He’s raising the already-high summer temperatures here in Brooklyn! More to come on that book, as well, including the reveal of the title…but for now, one teaser of inspiration for my broken-nosed, bare-knuckle boxer:

Can’t wait to hear what you think of it, Shayera!

Having read the first five chapters of this amazing amazing book, I respectfully disagree about Johnny Harrington, Sarah, and submit this photo as alternative inspiration of what Cross really looks like.

Not sure about this guy. I think he looks like an alien. Cross does not look like an alien.

It is hot in here or what? Cannot wait–for both of them! :)

Yay!!! Late January cannot get here soon enough! And I’m dying to hear more about Temple.

Temple’s still cooking, Monet…but I can tell you, I’ve never written a hero like him. He’s so…physical. ;)

Your titles are some of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of being hooked by. (Wow. that doesn’t sound right, grammatically, but I can’t think how to fix it right now). Can’t wait to read this one!

Thanks, Noelle! I hope this one hooks you, too!

I can’t wait!!! everytime I finish one of your books, I just feel I can’t read anything else for a long time and I perceive a sense of void, it’s because your characters are so real… thanks so much for the fun times :) You’re such an incredible talent!!

Oh, thank you so much, Simona! Well, I hope EARL is worth the wait and lives up to the others!

There aren’t enough ginger haired heroes! January it waaaay to far away! A Rogue by Any Other Name still ranks as one of my favorite reads this year, and I can’t wait to read Cross’s story especially when you say he is a tortured hero with a devastating past….to have you say that….means that it’s going to be sooooo goood! Can’t wait :) If you ever need anyone to sing your praises feel free to send me the book and I’ll let you know exactly how brilliant I think you are, LOL.

I agree with MJ Taylor…for the intellectual hero, you can’t beat Benedict Cumberbatch! Sarah, you don’t watch Sherlock? This isn’t the greatest picture of him, even with ginger hair, but now he’ll be in my mind for the character! Can’t wait for the book.

You know I can’t wait!!! The end of Rogue killed me. Now I’m dying for the cover too! Gah!

I’m SO looking forward to this book. I got hooked on your novels when I saw this really intriguing title staring at me in the bookstore called “Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake.” I couldn’t resist picking it up to take a peek, and that peek turned into reading five wonderful stories from you:)
I’m so exited to read the next book in the Fallen Angels series. (Nice looking inspiration even though I’ll probably still picture Michael Fassbender as Cross since that’s the face popped into my mind when reading the last story:) I can’t wait!!! I’m sure it will be as wonderful as always.

I can’t wait. I’ve been a Maclean romance novel stalker since last year and this looks like it could be the best one yet!!
And that dude is HOT!! I don’t even like redheaded men, but he could get it.

Oh, that is soooo far away to have to wait! OK, I will quit whining now, lol. I can’t wait to read more of this series, I became a huge fan with the Love by the Numbers series and loved A ROGUE…. when it came out!

If Johnny Harrington is your inspiration for Cross, you gotta tell us your inspiration for the other 3!

I am sooooo excited! 9 Rules is my favorite romance. I did a summer internship last summer that had me rooming with 3 other college girls and we read the entire book aloud while taking a weekend road trip. I am an unabashed lover of ginger men, despite having married a blonde, and the snippet at the end of A Rogue By Any Other Name had me scouring the internet to find your next release date. And that model is gorgeous.

Oh em gee!!! It’s killing me! I need this book. I was totally left searching like a madman to find the next book, I just need to read about Pippa and Cross!! I cannot wait! Thank you so much for your amazing books!
