One Week Until Rogue! iPhone Case Giveaway & Audiobook Snippet!

I can’t believe A Rogue By Any Other Name will be here in a week! I remember that when I was writing this one, I had trouble believing that it would ever be finished…let alone on shelves! Oh! Don’t forget that my local indie is selling signed/personalized copies of the US Version of Rogue…order by Thursday evening from WORD directly (you also get fun Rules of Scoundrels dice with these purchases)!

Anyway…I’m getting super duper excited, and you know what that means!

Giveaways!

First, I have two of these super fun Rogue iPhone cases up for giveaway! For those of you who are regular readers, you know that I am married to a total tech guy, who tries at every turn to get me to bring technology to the Regency. He succeeded this time, with these gorgeous iPhone cases! (They fit the iPhone 4 and 4S) I’ve signed them both on the inside, and if you win, you can choose to have me sign the outside, and I will, happily (albeit nervously).

I’m bundling these cases with one signed printed copy of the UK edition of Rogue…which you can’t get in the States! To enter, comment below with your favorite scene from any one of my books…I’ll choose TWO winners on Friday (Open internationally!)!

But WAIT! Before you go do that…check this out! Rogue is the first of my books to become an audiobook! It’s read by the fabulous Rosalyn Landor (who does Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas’s audiobooks, too!), and while I haven’t heard the whole thing, I have heard this excerpt, which I can share with you! The audiobook will be available as a digital download on Tuesday, along with the print and e-book editions!

It’s SO WEIRD to hear the book read aloud…I just…aaaah!!! So weird and awesome!

So….that’s where I’m at today…iPhone cases and audiobooks! Hope you guys are having a similarly weirdly awesome day!

Hmmm naming only one scene my favorite book, Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake is difficult. I have more than one ;) One is when Ralston discovers that it’s Callie that he’s fencing with. Another is when Callie overhears Ralston talking about her with Nick. I can go on and on because the book is filled with great scenes. Can’t wait for your latest release, Sarah!

  • Marlo Holbrook

It is so hard to pick just one favorite scene! You have so many wonderfully memorable ones!

I think my favorite moment is when Ralston is waiting for the duel to start and he realizes how much he loves Callie. The part where he says, “My God, she’s made me so much more than what I was.” My heart just melts everytime I read it! Maybe it has something to do with my husband once telling me that, too!

  • Susan Doll

    Hi Sarah!

So excited to read the new book next week! So hard to choose just one scene as my favorite but I’ll choose this one from Nine Rules:

When Ralston finds Callie at the art exhibit to apologize. I love when Callie tells Ralston he’s different because he’s her partner in crime.

  • Krystalyn Drown

I have a lot of favortie scenes, but I will pick the one in Ten Ways when everyone shows up to fix Isabel’s house, and she realizes how much he loves her.

  • Jasmine Cervik

My favorite scene from Nine Rules to Break is when Ralston finally realizes he actually does LOVE Callie. :) I definitely shed a few happy tears! Thank you so much for the giveaway, and I can’t wait for Rogue!!

  • Monica C.

Hi Sarah! I’m really excited to read Rogue! My favorite scene from your books is the scene in Ten Ways where Isabel and Nicholas have climbed in from the roof and are standing in the tiny room alone and kiss! :)

  • Olivia Kelly

Oh, Sarah, I love her voice- so veddy, veddy British and proper! ;D
I’m in- I need a cover for my iPhone, I don’t have one. I’d totally shove it in everyone’s face. “LOOK. That’s Sarah MacLean’s signature. Jealous? Well, you should be!” ;D

  • Olivia Kelly

    Oops. Got distracted.
My favorite scene is the one from Nine Rules, when Callie overhears Ralston belittling her. She handles it with such grace and dignity, even though you can tell her heart is just breaking.
Although, I do love the scene in her library too, when she is re-arranging books, and doesn’t want to see him. She’s pretty funny- and so stubborn. Good for her!

  • Melody May

You want me to pick one of my favorite scene from one of your books. Oh my goodness I love them all. I love Callie and Ralston, Nicholas and Minerva, and Juliana and Simon.
However, I love scene when from “Eleven Scandals to Start With A Duke” where Juliana is nervous and she congregates verbs Italian, English, and Latin. I also like when Mariana and her try to escape the announcement of Simon and the grapes bethroth and they destroy vegetables that decorate the stairs at Dolby House.

However, I can’t wait to read your new book. I’m so excited that it comes out next week. I loved all the stories and I have read them twice.

  • Jacinda @ The Reading Housewives

My favorite scene is from Eleven Scandals to Start when Julianna falls into the lake/pond. I was completely freaked out right along with her! I’m afraid of drowning…it has to be one of the worst ways to die…IMO. Obviously it isn’t a happy scene, but it’s a scene that had stayed in my mind.

And Rogue comes out in a week! YES!

And yay to an accent in the audio!

  • Kim

I look forward to reading the new series. I have two favorite scenes from your previous novels: In Nine Rules, I liked the scene where Callie listens to Ralston play the piano for the first time. In regencies, it’s always the heroine who plays the piano, so it was nice having the hero with musical talent. My second favorite scene is the way Juliana mangles the English language in all three books. I thought she was a unique character.

  • Kristy

One of my favorite scenes from Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake is when Callie asks Ralston to recommend a tavern for “her brother”. She’s such a poor liar and he’s such an opportunist.

  • Patsy

We must all be suckers for angst. My favorite scene is also the one from Nine Rules, where Callie overhears Ralston protesting too much. I love the way she puts aside her own feelings in order to defend Juliana, but I also love the Ralston could just kill himself over what he’d just said.

  • Jill

Oh, by far when Callie first propositioned Ralston…in his very own bedchamber! I think I may have squealed out loud at that one. :•)

  • Jane

One of my favorite scenes in “Eleven Scandals to Start to Win a Duke’s Heart” is when Juliana and Simon admit they like each other right before he is set to announce his betrothal to Lady Penelope.

  • Tin

Not a scene — but my favorite part of Ten Ways… was Minerva House and the interesting people who lived there. ^_^

  • Lori

This is a great giveaway. Hmm. I’m not sure what would be one of my favorite scenes from the three books. There are so many. Probly in the first book when he discoveres her list of rules to break. Then when she breaks all the rules. So I guess the whole book. Lol. Also any scene in Eleven Scandals where he tries to resist her and fails. They were all such good books I just can’t pick one. And let’s not forget all the women dressed like men. See I just don’t know.

  • Kim K

Trying to figure out a favorite scene makes me want to read all three books over again! I’m a sucker for the “Plain Jane with the heart of gold.” So the moment that stands out to me is when Ralston finds the list and realizes that he wants to be the one to fulfill her dreams, even if begrudgingly at first.

  • Barbara Barber

How does one pick only 1 favorite scene! Holy cow I can’t even pick a favorite amoung your books as I love them all. But one of my favorite scenes was definatlywhen Callie first propositioned Ralston…in his very own bedroom. I can so see me doing something as wild as that LOL

    Barb

  • Angela Carr

    Friggen awesome giveaway!!!!

  • bn100

I like the scene near the end of Eleven Scandals when Simon reveals his true feelings to Juliana and he proposes to her.

  • Angela Carr

I have not had the chance to read the previous books but dying to get my hand on A Rogue. A few blogger friends who have reviewed and says it’s an awesome read. I’m glad for the audios. Those I do quiet a bit!!!

  • ina

Hi Sarah, i’m Ina from Indonesia.
My fav book is Love by number #1, Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake.
There are too many great scenes in that book. For me evrythings more gettin interested when Callie decided to change, started to break all the rules to live in pleasure. The story becomes more uhhh…passionate. I even read it slowly, just wanna enjoyed evry moment of each page. So fabolous!
But, the best from all those scenes is when Ralston finally realizes that he loves Callie so much. I was so touched. Love is unpredictable. Sometimes we realize that we love someone at the wrong time, wrong place, whatever. But it doesnt matter when or how, just be thankful that God lets us know our real feeling.
Cant wait to read ur other books. Hopefully i can win it. Thank u Sarah, may God always bless u n ur family

  • Booklover1335

One of my favorites has to be from Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake, the very first book I read of yours, and the entire books is a favorite scene. You can’t actually expect me to pick a just one because this book is so full of awesome that it’s IMPOSSIBLE to choose just one. Just thinking about it again makes me want to re-read it. It’s one of those comfort reads that I recommend to everyone. It’s shameful really…just think of what I would do if I had the iPhone cover too :)

  • LilMissMolly

In Nine Rules I loved it when Callie went into the fencing club and tried to act like she knew what she was doing.

In the Season I also really liked it when Alex sneaked into the library.

  • Melissa

The Season was the very first novel I read of yours and it’s probably the one I’ve read the most, though I LOVE them all! My favorite scene is the one that opens the book when Alex is getting fitted for her dress. I just love that she’s not your typical girl looking forward to her debut, and I love when you meet Ella and Vivi and the whole mystery throughout the entire novel. I’d like to think if I lived during that time I would have friends like that.

  • Annika

I’ve always been a sucker for over-the-top love declarations, so one of my favourite scenes is when Simon from Eleven storms the ball to tell Juliana he loves her in front of the entire ton! Oh, and after when he tells her again at Ralstons house – I cried!

BTW, I went book browsing this Tuesday, as I usually do on my day off, and there in the romance section (which is by far the smallest section in the bookstore) I found a lone copy of A Rogue, turned upside-down and in UK edition (I live in Denmark)! A whole week before release date!! I felt like the luckiest girl alive. I’m halfay through it and Penelope is definitely already one of my all-time favourite heroines. Looooove her! And Bourne of course!

  • Natalie S

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the scene where Juliana sees her mother and goes to the stables to talk to the horse – in Italian – but Simon eavesdrops on her. It isn’t the fact that he listens in (although the fact that he knows Italian gets me everytime), but that we really see Juliana admit that she is reckless because fitting in takes too much away from her soul, and she knows that she’ll still be judged harshly.
I guess that scene applies to a lot of literature-girls around the world and it wasn’t just a progression in their love story, but it was character-revealing. When I say that female-readers can relate to it, it shows that some of us know that we can’t quite fit in, so we make it a point to stand out, albeit not quite in Juliana fashion. But we stand out in subtle ways. It hurts that she’s exhausted with being ostracized, but we see Simon reach out to her, too. And it wasn’t that I didn’t like him prior to this scene, but we saw that he cared for her in a more-than-physical aspect.

  • Aida Amaral

I’d chose a scene from “Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake” – The scene where Callie learns about Ralston’s wager and breaks off their engagement. His heart breaking, Ralston challenges Oxford to a duel after he insults Callie and tells her brother it will take an army to keep him away from her

  • Cialina

Wow, listening to an audio of this book is so strange and cool at the same time! I have never listened to a romance audio before!

  • Grace

My favorite scene from Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake was when Callie overheard Ralston calling her missish and plain. I also liked how Ralston apologized to Callie at the art exhibition, which she was attending with Baron Oxford, and when she told Ralston that “it’s not a competition”.
My favorite scene from the Season was when Gavin looked over the invitations with Alex and how he offered to take her on an outing afterwards. I like the Stafford men. :)

  • Elizabeth

Even though I’m late, I still wanted to post my favorite scene! :)

My favorite scene is from Nine Rules when Ralston got Callie into the the gentleman’s club to gamble and then he took her into the private room. That was a hot scene. :)

  • Maya

    Hi Sarah!

I have to say, I can’t wait until Rogue comes out, only three more hours, eeek!

If I had to choose one of my favorite moments form your books it would probably be all of Nine Rules, it was my first ever Romance novel and I completely devoured it, it was just such a breathtaking love story, and I loved watching Callie and Ralston grow and fall for each other <3 But since I have to choose a single moment, I'll go with my second favorite, in Eleven Scandals when Simon and Juliana are saying that they love each other and Julianna says "Te amo", it was such an electric moment, my toes tingled!

    Can't wait until Rogue!!!

  • Cheryl English

My favorite scene was from Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake is when Ralston realizes he really does love Callie. They were meant to be together.
